Andres 6th period.

Soccer is the game  I play,
I like to play a lot,
even on a rainy day
or when it is hot

I am a monster on the field,
I kick corners carefully,
when players see me they always yield,
swoosh, the ball runs in the net for me

I am a kid having fun in or out of the game,
I shoot the ball with my boot at the goal,
If I score I celebrate like an air plane
or might even take a roll

  1. I really liked that he wrote about a sport. I liked that he cares about soccer a lot. I would like to see more similes iin his poetry. I would like to see moremore internal rhyming.
    1) A B A C D C F G H I h J
    2) I think his tone of voice said he was excited and ready to play the game.
    3) Three interesting uses of diction were monster, swoosh, and air plane.
    4) A monster on the field.
    5) I kick corners carefully.
    6) No internal rhyme. Shoot the ball with by boot.
    7) No personification. The ball runs in the net for me.
    8) swoosh the ball went in

  2. Andres, i liked the part about the air plane. No, i really liked the part about soccer. Actually it was pretty good through and through. I really liked the use assonance.
I liked the way you wrote about this topic. You could tell more about soccer in general. You could write more about this topic.
    1. A,B,A,B
    C,D,C,E
    F,G,F,G
    2. Speaking like a confident player
    3. Celebrate, yield, monster
    4. Monster on the field, line 1 stanza 2
    5. Kick corneers carefully, line 2 stanza 2
    6. no internal rhyme, you could say "i shoot with my boot", instead of cleat
    7. no personification, you could replace goes with runs
    8. swoosh

  5. The poem is about soccer.
In the last line, what does "take a roll" mean?
In the second stanza, I con't tell if you're completely vicious, or if you're slightly careful.
About the whole poem, I'm not familiar with most of the soccer terms.
Your similies and metaphors are "I'm a monster" and "celebrate like and airplane".
An allusion could be soccer- soccer ball, games, atheletes, running, fields, goals.

  6. 1.This poem about soccer and the feelings you get when you play soccer.
2.What do you mean in the last line when you said "or might even take a roll"? Did you mean that literally or metophorically?
3.In the last stanza could you explain your metaphors a little bit more? How do you celebrate like an airplane?
4.Well, considering the fact that I don't play soccer, the whole poem is kind of confusing. What does all the termonology mean?

Two examples of similie/metaphor: "I'm a monster on the field." and "If I score I celebrate like an airplane."

The allusion of this poem is a soccor net because the poem is about soccer, and a soccer net is how you make a goal. Another reason I think of this is because you talk about making a goal in the poem. Finally I think of a soccer net when I read this poem because the entire time I visualize a soccor field and a net is on the field.
