A World History of MHS
MHS is a majestic prince
Standing proud and tall
Just one look can make you wince
Staring down all who dare to brawl
MHS is an unread book
With adventures still to read
With sorrows, songs, and stands that shook
And tales of a noble steed
MHS is a daunting waterfall
Raging fierce and strong
If you're careful then youll see that you can have a ball
But if you're careless then you'll find that you are in the wrong
MHS is a monstrous mountain
With obstacles like dinosaurs
Come and sip from its cool fountain
Listen to us roar

ReplyDeleteI liked that it was about MHS history and theRhyme scheme. I would add one more simile and I would add a space between the title and the start the poem.

3.The three most interesting uses of diction was in the tenth sentance when you put obstacles like dinosaurs, In line one I liked the metaphor majestic prince, and I thought line 6 had a great use of diction adventures still to read.
4.Line nine was an example of imagery, I thought of the first day of school looking at the scool like a monstrous mountain.
5.In line 7 there was an alliteration it was sorrows,songs,and stands,that shook.
6.Internial rhyme was used in line 4 with brawl and all.
7.Personification was used in line 2 standing proud anhd tall.
8.Onomatopoeia was used in line 12 it was roar.

I really like the concept of this poem. It shows the pride and morals of MHS. I also love your unique metaphors.
ReplyDeleteThere were a few times when the rhyme scheme had some trouble flowing, and some words didn't rhyme very well.
The rhyme scheme of this poem is A,B,A,B.
The poet's tone possessed pride.
I loved your adjectives. They were very descriptive and lively. Examples: "monstrous mountain", "majestic prince", and "cool fountain."
An example of imagery in this poem is the "majestic prince standing proud and tall."
The alliterations were "sorrows, songs, and stands" and "monstrous mountain" in lines 7 and 9.
The internal rhyme was "Staring down all who dare to brawl" and it was used in line 4.
