I love the floor
Floors are never a bore
They are always happy
Even when we stomp on them BAM!!

They never give out
Unless they go without
Care or Consideration
They are as strong as an ox.

They will never let you down
Even if you have a frown
They can be as soft as a pillow
But only with soft carpet.

They will always be there
O, how they care
Just like our counselors
They are never gone.

O, how I love them so
They never let go
Although we do not recognize it
Floors are like our bodies strong and everlasting.

  1. I liked that the poem was well written and sort of funny.

I think counselers is spelled wrong but I'm not sure and

    The rhyme scheme is A A B C
    D D E F
    G G H I
    J J K L
    M M N O
    The tone is happy.

Three interesting uses of diction were bam, counselers, and ox.

An example of imagery was a soft carpet.

Care or consideration in line 7.

Personification was used in line 15 with counselers.

Onomatopoeia was used in line 4 with bam.

  2. I enjoyed the different rhymes at the end of each line. I also like the similes and metaphores used. 1) AABC. 2) The tone is neutral because it is neither happy or sad. 3) Bore-boring, everlasting- living forever, consideration- feelings for what is going on. 4) Soft as a pillow. 5) Care or consideration line 7. 6) Floors are never a bore line 2. 7)Floors are like our bodies are strong and everlasting line 20 8) Bam line 4.

  3. Two aspects of the poem I really enjoyed is the comidy of it and how well it is written. Two suggestions for improvement I would say would be spelling and it doesn't really flow all that well.
    1)AABC
    2)Neutral
3)I like how you used soft carpet because you were dealing with floors and that's usually on the floor. I alos liked your use of floor and bore casue floors are usually borning.

    I ran out of time...

  4. This poem is about the floor.
One question I had is why the word "bam" is crossed out.
One question I had about a stanza is why you would compare the floor to an ox.
One question I had about the poem is why did you write about the floor?
Just like our councelors, they are never gone.
Floors are like our bodies strong and everlasting.
They are as strong as an ox.
They can be as soft as a pillow, but only wit soft carpet.
    Pillow-sleeping, night time, soft, comfort.

  5. 1. this poem is about how good the floor is to us.
    2. in line 3 you stated that the floors are always happy... i dont get how floors are happy. how?
    3. in the first stanza you stated that floors are always happy even when we hurt them... if we hurt them then how are they still "happy"?
    4. why did you write about floors?

They are as strong as an ox.
They can be as soft as a pillow
    Just like our counselors
Floors are like our bodies strong and everlasting.
pillow- sleep, comfort, relax, bed, rest, and nap.

  6. bam is crossed out because it looked cool
i wrote about the floor because someone told me to
floors are happy when we jump on them because they are like that
i compared the floor to an ox because they are both strong.
floors are happy because they help you and they are proud of that.
