Nathan Period 5

A sleek, sly, snow leopard waits in scilence,
in a cave filled with cold.
His pads on the stone and blackness all around,
he slows his pace as if he is sleeping.

His eyes focused on a being,
nothing less, nothing more.
He lives the same every day, hunting for food,
danger never stays away.
If only the cave can shout with warning,
the world could be a better place.
GRUMBLE! The leopard's stomach turns,
for now it is time to strike.
Its feeding time!
SWISH! He pounces with great speed and strength,
his target flinches and tries to flee with fright.
The leopard rejoices with pray in his claw,
and the mountain goat was no more.
