Beware the Mean Girls

The click-clack of heels like a pendulum,
Time is ticking away from them.
They shall NEVER mature, that is for sure.
They live for gossip, all they want is more.

Giggle, point, stare, and laugh.
They slice our self esteems in half.
Their words spread like disease,
They call them queen bees.

They whine and complain,
Even drive us insane.
Every look's an adventure,
Their teeth look like dentures. :)

Pushing pathetic pupils around,
Their nails say "I'm fake" and fall on the ground.
Skin like porcelain, perfectly held curls,
I will tell you one time.. Beware the mean girls. (it's also a movie!! durr)

  1. Wow. What I like most about this is how true and real it is. I love how you capture the essence of high school hierarchy.

Improvement: The meter shifting in a stanza breaks the flow, but it's something we can't live without so don't feel bad. Watch your punctuation, it doesn't match in some places.

    1. A,A,B,B
    2. It reminds me of the tone the teller of a ghost story my use, but the smile at the end gives it more of a joker's tone.
    3. Porcelain, spread like disease, pendulum.
    4. "Skin like porcelain, perfectly held curls"
    5. "Pushing pathetic pupils" Line 9
    6. "Never mature, that is for sure," Line 3
    7. People are already personified.
    8. "Click-clack" Line 1

  2. -I loved the way you described the mean girl clique all throughout the poem and it gave the perfect image of them! It was really cute and i liked how you didn't do a season like i did, which wasn't as original as yours. ;)
-For improvements its hard to say because everything you had in there was funny to me. The only thing i would have changed was line 5 because I felt it just sat there.
    1. a,a,b,b
    2. It reminded me of a scary story warning the adventurers of a beast.
    3. "Their nails say I'm fake and fall on the ground" "skin like porcelain" "Perfectly help curls"
    4. "Skin like porcelain, perfectly held curls."
    5. "Pushing, pathetic, pupils around." line 9
    6. "They shall NEVER mature, that is for sure." line 4
    7. "Their nails say "I'm fake" and fall to the ground."
    8. "click-clack" line 1

  6. 1) This poem is about the rude popular girls you see at school.

    2) What do you mean when you said that their nails fall to the ground?

    3) What does it mean in the first stanza when you claim that time is ticking away from the girls?

    4) When you wrote this poem, is there anyone you
    were referring to?

    Metaphors/Similies-
1)click-clack of heels like a pendulum
    2) words spread like disease
    3)Skin like porcelain
    4) slice our self esteems

fake- lies, un-realistic, fake nails, hair dye, two-faced, backstabber
