A Brighter Place
As the wind blows against my face
I walk a bit' closer towards my fate
Each step a little closer to my end
Everything pushes me along my path at a bend.
I see so many scenes from my past
All flashing so brightly by me so fast
My friends and I enjoying
Even if the events are so boring.
I will miss all the lovely people
As they mourn my end at the steeple
But now, I go to a brighter place
No longer stuck in a dark case.
I run like the wind through the gate
Finally face towards fate
This is the place where I will wait
Until all my loved ones join.
No tears, no anger, no jealousness
Just love, and care and joyfulness
I have no rules, but be nice
As I wait, rolling the dice.
I will miss all the lovely people
As they mourn my end at the steeple
But now, I go to a brighter place
No longer stuck in a dark case.
I like the line "mourn my end at the steeple"-- really original way to refer to a funeral. I also like your repetition of stanza 3 at the end.
