Molly Period 6

In this deadly forest of dreams
All is not as it seems.
And as you fight to stay alive
The chances grow you won't survive.

The howling wind, it may deceive
But you'll be fine since you believe
And as this day strays into night
You may be forced to fight.

Many sway against the Fey
They are not all wisdom and grace.
For you are like their easy prey
As is all the human race.

Silent snow falls in this storm
It falls as the tears on your face.
And as the Fey begin to pace,
You try to stay warm.

Crash! As the trees begin to fall
This storm is no longer silent.
You will have to fight them all
As your task has now become violent.

Fight like a lion you may
But it will do you no good.
For this task is given by the Fey
Most would run, if they could

All of this, just for a wish
A wish, yor greatest desire
A wish is foolish,
But enough to enspire.

And in this deadly forest of dreams
All is not as it seems.
And though you fought to stay alive,
You did not survive.

  1. 1.) This poem is about fighting to stay alive, but not successeding.

2.) One question I have for a particular line of the poem is that in line 23, stanza 6, what does the word "Fey" mean?

3.) One question I have about a particular stanza of the poem is that in stanza 7, what is the wish that you are talking about?

4.) One question I have for the entire poem is what are you actually fighting to survive from?

5.) The four examples of similes and/or metaphors are "for you are like their easy prey", "It falls as the tears on your face", "fight like a lion", and a suggestion for the last simile and/or metaphor would be a wish is like a foolish dream, which you could put instead of line 27, stanza 7.

6.) wish - hopes, dreams, The North Star, pinnocio, stars, fairy god mothers, genes.
